If you live in Versilia, you have heard of gelateria “Arcobaleno”, in Ripa, for sure. It is also hard to resist to the flavours of other creations like customizable ice cream cakes, mini-cakes, crêpes, sorbettos, waffels and yogurt. In fact, quality and originality distinguish every product. The preparation of hypocaloric ice cream and the wide choice of gluten-free tastes are worth a mention too. From Firenze to Forte dei Marmi in twenty five years of success: the story of ice creamery “Carabè” witnesses that the refined artisanate of ice cream fears no crisis, when it’s the fruit of genuine dedication and respect for the traditions. In 1989, Antonio Lisciandro opened the first Carabè ice creamery in Firenze, making citizens and tourists discover the taste of the authentic Sicilian granita. Then years later, Carabè expanded opening a new shop in Forte dei Marmi and, today, can even rely on a production and formation center situated on the hills of Terranuova Bracciolini, Tuscany. Carabè’s ice cream and granita are distinguished by the maximum attention for the high quality of ingredients and by the high digestibility, guaranteed by a low apport of fats and sugar: characteristics that both the classic tastes and the most original, creative preparations share.

Preparing an excellent artisanal ice cream is a real art, that can be learned only through pratice, passion and experience. Gelateria “La Chicca”, in Forte dei Marmi, doesn’t lack any of these components: Massimiliano Amaducci began his career in the early 90s, and decided to open his own activity in 2008, with his wife Federica and his brother Alessandro. They started a business where all ingredients are carefully selected to guarantee high quality standards: from the basic ones like milk, cream, eggs and sugar to precious products like Langhe’s hazelnuts and Sicily’s pistachios. Then, their creativity translates the art of ice cream in a wide range of flavours: from the classic chocholate to the fruit sorbetto, from the Tiramisù ice cream to the “Sachertorte” taste, their proposals satisfy every desire. We can’t avoid mentioning their attention to health: the fresh ice cream doesn’t contain colouring agents and hydrogenated vegetable fats.

“Nelson Club” rises close to the famous pontile (dock) of Forte dei Marmi and represents a corner of paradise, for people who cant’live without the delight of unique artisanal ice creams, or the tastes of crepes, smoothies or frappès. An all-ages crowd populate the small but comfortable exercise in summer and winter: the atmosphere is always really pleasant. The Nelson Club fairytale began in 1982, when two boys decided to make their dream, opening an ice creamery in the center of Forte dei Marmi, come true. But sometimes, time plays mean tricks; after some years, they had to close the beloved shop in the town, to open another point in a new location. Luckily, there’s no fairytale without an happy end; some time ago, one of the two founders of Nelson Club had the chance of opening the gelateria in Forte again. It goes without saying, he immediately did it.
